Welcome to the Sattva Gallery. Sattva was established in 1970 by Fred and Marlene Terbrusch while Fred was a doctoral student in Political Science at the University of Oregon in Eugene. The idea of an academic career waned for Fred, but we decided that Eugene was a great place to live. Jobs in Eugene were few and far between in those days, so we started Sattva (named after a dear kitty) in order to be able to live and work in Eugene. Today Marlene runs the Gallery and Fred runs the Studio/workshop. The wood work from the Studio is sold in Galleries across the country.

Our Gallery in Eugene features functional three dimensional contemporary crafts in wood, glass, ceramics, paper, metal, stone and fine jewelry; and that's what we will be presenting in our internet Gallery as well. It has been an honor to be a part of the craft renaissance that has developed from those early days, and we take great pleasure and pride in presenting the work of the many talented folks who have been and are participating in this great American Crafts Revival.
