Artist's Note: The Borderlands series evoke the lands of US southwest and Mexico. They share cultures and landscapes. Here we see an Indian Pueblo nestled in Red Rocks. The flying shields have Huichol (Mexican group) symbols, perhaps thunderbolts. A rainbow forms part of the border which frames a sacred landscape.
