Artist's Note: The Borderlands series evoke the lands of US southwest and Mexico. They share cultures and landscapes. The Border in this painting has the equal armed cross, a Navaho symbol of the star Venus. Some blue horses (the spirit and healing horse of Navahos) rush across a frieze. The Sangre de Cristo Mountains rise above the desert landscape.
