Artist's Note: A native American woman from northern New Mexico looks out at the
Pedernal, the mountain much painted by Georgia O'Keefe. She's wearing a colorful blanket in
Pueblo style. On her left you see a cabinet decorated with symbolic virgins (Guadelupe and
Maria). Below robed priests admire a serpent climbing a tree/cross, and above is a native style
drum and woman's dance tablita. Notice the great mother jar with greenery on the right.
